a). Balance
 600tl taken out for Bayram (guards +maids +ancillary staff)
Update
 Next year decided on a 600tl cap
 Current balance = 15017.72tl
b). Funding
 Last year a form sent to staff asking for requests; a wish list
requests
 Agreed this year not to send out due to the extraordinary
gift to the Arts Dept
c). Musical
 Agreed at last meeting that 10,000tl to be given to Arts
Instruments
Department
 Mr Sargent (DS) explained the funding at the school (each
dept gets the same budget – Arts shared between music, art
& drama)
 DS discussed with the arts staff across whole school
regarding what they wanted
 Felt the school needed a proper upright piano
 Visited shops on Saturday and managed to secure one for
10000tl including adjustable stool, set-up & 1st tune
 Voted and passed - money to given Arts Dept
3. Winter Term Events
a). 13 Sep  85 people attended
Brunch
 Held at Tarabya Bahçe due to other venues not being
available
 Good choice, especially with the weather
 Requests from some parents for more events like it
throughout the year

clothes) sale but not many takers so it didn’t happen

PTA cake stall)

Charity Committee Update
 21,000tl in the charity pot from last year
 To be split 7000tl between each of the charities
 AI to inform in next newsletter
 At same time AI will ask for nominations for 2 charities
(national & local) & explain the disaster fund

year groups each month or articles per month
