Students are welcome to inquire about and discuss their own progress and grades with their teacher before or after
school. It is the responsibility of students to inquire in regards to make-up work in the case of an approved or prearranged
absence. Students will have three days for each day absent in order to turn in make-up work, unless other arrangements
have been made in advance. If you are in class when something is assigned and are absent (approved or prearranged) on the
day that assignment is due, it must be turned in the day you return in order for you to receive credit.
As a general rule late work is not acceptable. In many cases, if a student’s assigned work hasn’t been completed
before class begins, they cannot continue to progress at the same rate of those students who have completed their
homework. While extenuating circumstances may call for some exceptions, late work will be docked 20% for each day that
it is late. After five school days, this work will not be accepted.
At the end of each semester, students’ final grades will be evaluated according to the following scale:
45% for each grading quarter (2)
10% for the final exam and assessment activities

dean.
