Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA Position: Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships (full time) Location: Philadelphia, PA sd AGENCY OVERVIEW AND JOB DESCRIPTION Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA is the largest BBBS agency in the State and the third largest in the nation; with a current annual budget of $5.5 million dollars. Our rapidly growing, progressive organization places great value on continuous improvement and staff engagement as we strive to provide quality “one to one” mentoring services for youth. As such, we currently seek a Senior Manager of Corporate Partnerships to expand our corporate relationships and fundraising efforts. Reporting to the Director of Development, this position will also have the responsibility of working with management across Agency divisions in an effort to help us meet our strategic goals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Manage all aspects of BBBS SEPA’s participation in the PA EITC (Education Improvement Tax Credit) program including: assuring all application requirements are submitted on-time annually; all financial aspects/relationships of all current Beyond School Walls (Work Place Mentoring) programs are met; and develop a marketing strategy to actively cultivate new businesses for partnership within this program. 2. Develop and maintain a large external network through interacting with the Board, corporate partners, community leaders and key external “influencers” to strategically engage them in all appropriate aspects of relationship cultivation and development. 3. Work with the Marketing Department to create sponsor development plans, and implement marketing and communication strategies, with the priority of increasing additional community awareness, philanthropic support and fund development. 4. Work with Director of Development and Special Events Coordinator to create and execute plans to secure, cultivate, and steward corporate and in-kind sponsorships, individual donors and Big Stories Breakfast table hosts to meet fundraising goals 5. Assist in recruiting, managing, motivating, training and mentoring event volunteers/committees to work as a team and as advocates for the department with a priority of increasing additional community awareness and philanthropic support. 6. Work with the Special Events Coordinator to create and manage event budgets and timelines in order to meet revenue goals for all agency events. 7. Coordinate all activities related to corporate donor solicitation and stewardship, including proposals, annual appeals, reports, and other materials as needed. 8. Work directly with the Director of Development to help build the Fund Development department along Director’s new plan guidelines, in conjunction with the Vice President of Development’s goals and objectives. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Academic: Minimum Bachelor’s degree. Professional: At least 3-5 years proven successful fundraising or equivalent experience with specific success in direct solicitation of gifts from corporations; demonstrated experience in relationship cultivation and stewardship. Personal Attributes: Exhibit a passion for our life changing mission. Possess outstanding communication, organizational and management skills needed to lead the corporate partnership function; and demonstrate a true ability to ask for and secure significant gifts. Possess the ability to interact and motivate others (both internally and externally) in a positive spirit of collaboration, and demonstrate the ability to work independently but effectively in a team-oriented environment. Effectively integrate initiatives with the Agency’s vision and strategic goals. Maintain a positive attitude, high ethical standards and a sense of humor.
