Chair
As the Chair of AISA you “lead the team”, thereby ensuring the board functions
properly and that AISA is managed effectively. To do so, the Chair is in charge of
chairing both general as well as board meetings, managing the contact with the
headquarters and overseeing the general activities of AISA.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The tasks and responsibilities of the chair include, but may not always be limited
to:
 Representing AISA as its figurehead
 Preparing the agenda for the monthly general meetings
 Chairing the general and board meetings
 Booking the rooms for the general meeting at het Gespuis and inviting all
the members three weeks in advance
 Maintaining regular contact with the headquarters, so to inform the
headquarters of AISA’s events and to coordinate events with the current
priorities of the headquarters
 Maintaining contact with het Gespuis
 Organizing AISA’s involvement in the yearly writing marathon on the 10th
of December; setting up an AISA “team”
 Coordinating with the commissioner of the Movies that Matter committee
so that AISA and its members are up to date
Required skills and interests
The following skills and interests are required to ensure the candidate is apt for
the position:
 Interest in and strong affiliation with human rights
 Ability to lead but open to input of others
 Public speaking skills
 Ability to stay calm yet effective under pressure
 Good command of both Dutch as well as English
 Management skills
 Excellent communication skills

Secretary
As the Secretary of AISA you primarily document agreements that are being
made so that the board and all the members are always up to date. You are also
in charge of organizing the monthly Writing Nights.
Tasks and Responsibilities
In the role of Secretary for AISA you will be responsible for:
 Writing minutes during every General Meeting, elaborate on it later and
upload it in a few days so that it is available for everyone
 Writing minutes during Board Meetings, elaborate on it later and upload
it in a few days so that all agreements and tasks are clear for the board
 Attending all board and general meetings
In the role of Writing Night coordinator for AISA you will be responsible for:
 Picking a date monthly to organize the Writing Night
 Picking a restaurant and make a reservation
 Making a Facebook event
 Print all the monthly letters from the Writing Actions on the Amnesty
International website
 Buy envelopes and international stamps
Required skills and interests
To succeed in the role of Secretary/Writing Night coordinator for AISA the
selected candidate should possess the following skill sets and interests:
 Interest in and strong affiliation with human rights
 Team player
 Being able to listen accurate
 Structural and clear writing style
 Organizing skills
 Good command of English

Member Coordinator
As the Members Coordinator of AISA you meet with the new members, help
them into the group and keep track of AISA members in general. You organize
social events on a regular basis, so that the members get better acquainted with
each other. You are also in charge of recruiting new members and help the
general promotion of AISA.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The tasks and responsibilities of the member coordinator include, but may not
always be limited to:
 Keeping the member list updated and accessible to the board at all times
 Meeting with the new members and informing them about AISA and her
policy and ensuring the new members read the statutes and sign the
members agreement
 Accompanying new members into the group
 Keeping track of inactive members
 Organizing social events for AISA members on regular basis
 Assisting in the organizing of 'official' AISA events
 Recruiting new members with active promotion and events like an
information ‘borrel’ in October and promotion during the ‘intreeweken’ of
the universities and others
Required skills and interests

Treasurer/Events Coordinator
As the Treasurer/Events Coordinator for AISA you would be the key person in
charge of overseeing the planning and coordination of all AISA events and also
the one in charge of delineating and disbursing AISA’s budget for the upcoming
year.
Tasks &Responsibilities
In the role of Treasurer/Events Coordinator for AISA you will be responsible for:
 Creating the budget for the organization for the year based on input from
the other board members
 Organizing the annual money collection at Schiphol airport including
getting the members to sign up and participate and collecting the
materials from Headquarters
 Maintaining and updating the list of potential events for the year based on
own initiative and suggestions from the board and other members
 Maintaining and updating a list of groups and organizations that we can
partner with for future events
 Booking all spaces for upcoming events
 Liaising with the coordinators of the event committees to ensure that all
planning for upcoming events proceeds according to plan
 Purchasing the gifts for speakers and other invited guests to all AISA
events
 Attending all board and general meetings

PR Coordinator
As the PR Coordinator of AISA you are in charge of the PR committee, part of the
AISA Board and have the final responsibility for the internal and external
promotion. PR committee tasks include taking care of the website and social
media, making reports and photos of AISA events, contributing to the newsletter
and making promotion material for AISA.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The tasks and responsibilities of the PR coordinator include, but may not always
be limited to:
 Coordinating the PR committee
 Directing the PR committee for writing reports, making promotional
material and taking photos of and for AISA events
 Having the final responsibility for the monthly AISA newsletter
 Keeping (social) media updated  Website, Facebook, Twitter
 Being the contact person for all PR-related tasks
 Attending all board and general meetings
Required skills and interests
The following skills and interests are required to ensure the candidate is apt for
the position:
 Interest in and strong affiliation with human rights
 Communication skills
 Organizing skills
 Finitude for writing
 Good command of speaking and writing in English
 Familiar with different (social) media
Not required, but useful skills
 Knowledge of CMS system: Joomla
 Experience with Photoshop
 Experience with MailChimp
