Day 1 Tuesday 29th November – UK - Israel
Take the El Al scheduled night flight from terminal four London Heathrow
Day 2 Wednesday 30th November Caesarea / Megiddo / Nazareth/Cana
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport at the early hours, meeting and assistance – meet your guide and drive
to enjoy breakfast before starting your sightseeing tour.
Drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans. Visit the excavations
of the ancient city, Roman theatre and aqueduct. Continue to Megiddo, identified as the site of
Armageddon; visit the archaeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply
system. Drive to Nazareth visit the Church of the Annunciation and pass the village of Cana, where
Jesus performed His first miracle. Continue to Tiberias for overnight stay.
Day 3 Thursday 1st December Tiberias / Capernaum
After a short tour of Tiberias, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee; Visit Yigal Alon museum where
the "Jesus boat", an ancient fishing boat from the 1st century, is displayed. Continue to Capernaum;
Visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of fish
and loaves, and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to
Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Visit Mensa Christi
– Peter’s Primacy and at the end of the day visit Yardenit, the traditional baptismal site. Return to
Tiberias for overnight.
Day 4 Friday 2nd December November Tiberias/Amman
Depart for Jordan at the Sheik Hussein crossing south of Tiberias. Drive to Jerash – City of the
Decapolis, located 45 KMS north of Amman in the fertile heights of Gilead. Visit the Roman City with
colonnaded streets, the ancient theatre, the baths and the hill top temple and the triumphal arch
etc. Then drive to Amman for a City tour of the Jordanian capital. Overnight Amman.
Day 5 Saturday 3rd December Amman /Petra
After breakfast drive to travel south on the road to Wadi Musa, then on horseback to the ‘SIQ’
canyon and then on foot to Petra known as ‘Sela Edom’ or RED ROCK CITY, the ancient capitol of the
Nabateans from the 3rd Century B.C. to 2nd century A.D. Visit the most interesting monument, such
as the Treasury, El Khazneh (a tomb of a Nabatean King) and the Tombs, obelisks, the altar (al
Madhbah) from this point you can view the whole rock city the back to Wadi Musa Village for
overnight stay.
Day 6 Sunday 4th December Jerusalem Jordan/Israel
Drive to Madaba see the ancient mosaic of the Holy Land. Continue about 10kms to Mount Nebo
from where Moses viewed the Promised Land, from where you will see the Jordan Valley. Cross the
border in to Jerusalem via Jericho to Jerusalem Overnight Jerusalem
Day 7 Monday 5th December Jerusalem (Old City)
Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city; visit the Church of All Nations, King David’s
Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper on Mount Zion. Enter within the walls of the Old City and
visit the Cardo, Temple Mount (entrance to the mosques not included), Western Wall, Via Dolorosa,
the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the oriental Bazaar; Visit the Garden Tomb. Overnight in
Jerusalem.
Day 8 Tuesday 6th December Jerusalem (New City) / Bethlehem
Drive to Ein Kerem to visit the Church of Visitation; proceed to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the
Holocaust; visit the Israel Museum, Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed and
the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period. Proceed to Bethlehem
(visit subject to the security conditions) to visit the Church of Nativity. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 9 Wednesday 7th December Israel - UK
Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your return flight.
