Picture Dictionary Assignment Biology 11 is a very content-heavy course. Throughout the semester, you will learn a lot of new terminology. It is imperative that you frequently review and memorize the terminology in order to be successful in this course. In an effort to learn the meaning of various biological concepts, you will be required to complete a picture dictionary for every unit. The picture dictionaries will be due on the day of the Unit Test. For the picture dictionary assignment you will be required to provide the following information: The vocabulary term The definition Picture representing the term (Drawn and Colored) You may choose one of two methods for creating your picture dictionary. Fan-fold method: You may use an 8 X 11 piece of paper with three vertical columns. The left column should contain the term, the middle column will contain the definition, and the right column should contain a hand drawn picture representing the term. Term Definition Picture Recipe Card Method: One recipe card will be used for each vocabulary term. The front side of the recipe card must contain the vocabulary term. The back side of the card must contain the meaning of the word, and be accompanied with a drawn picture. When handing in the recipe cards, they must be held together with an elastic band.
