Qualifying Tournament: will be played from Wednesday 10th September – Sunday 14th
September and will consist of a knock-out competition starting with a qualifying groups.
 Dependent on the amount of entries, it is intended, that groups will be made up of
four with the winner and runner-up progressing to the round of 16.
 All matches in the Qualifying Competition will be best of 3 games.
 Each pair will play a minimum of two matches and should make for some highly
competitive and entertaining Rackets and kick off the 2014/2015 season to great
start!

The round of 16 and quarter-finals will be the best of 5 games; with the semi-finals and final
the best of 7 games.
As usual, schools may enter as many pairs as they like, and these pairs should be entered in
order of ability. As Old Boys’ Secretary you could help enormously the smooth running of
this competition by the following:



Ensuring that all Pairs entered are available to play on all of the dates specified.
When pairs scratch from the competition it is not just an administrative nightmare
for the organisers but also a disappointment to the opposition.
Ensuring that for each player entered, I have a mobile number and a work e-mail
address. If any of your players have recently moved, please give their current
address on your entry form.
Reminding all your competitors’ entries cannot be accepted from amateurs who are
not members of the T&RA.
All entries must reach Katie Robertson at The T&RA (office@tennisandrackets.com) with the
entry fees by first post on Friday 5th September. The entry fee is £50 per pair if paid prior
to or on Friday 5th September otherwise £60 will be payable. This can be paid through the
online shop at www.tennisandrackets.com or by cheque to
the T&RA.

A copy of the draw will be sent to you for onward transmission. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
TO ADVISE YOUR PAIRS OF THEIR MATCH TIMES. The draw will also be published on the
