your donation was received by the parish in 2015, it was

DISCIPLES FOR THE DYING – The schedule is
as follows: Mass on February 5 at St. Sebastian at
5:00 pm and at St. Bernard on March 4 at 12:10
pm.
OZANAM CENTER, run by the St. Vincent de
Paul Society, is in need of coats to distribute to the
needy. If you, or someone you know, has a coat
they would like to donate (especially men’s and
children’s), please bring these items to the center at
93 Kent Street, Akron on any Saturday
between10am and 2pm.

The staff and students of St. Mary School will
celebrate Catholic Schools Week during the week
of January 31, 2016. This year’s theme is
“Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service”.
A special event will be held each day during the

SAINT BERNARD HUNGER PROGRAM
Volunteers are needed to serve bagged lunches

QUEEN OF HEAVEN PARISH INVITES ALL
WOMEN - to reflect on our relationship with our
God and with each other. We are very fortunate to
welcome Sr. Cheryl Rose, HM, as we learn about
being a Mary in Martha’s world. It will be two
days beginning Friday, January 29th at 6:00 pm
with a covered dish dinner in the Parish Life
Center and will end about 9:00 pm and will
continue Saturday, January 30th at 8:30 am with
coffee and donuts in the Church Gathering Space
and finish at noon. All women are invited and

“EVENING OF PRAYER THROUGH SONG”
International Recording ArtistDavid Parkes from
Ireland. David is a Catholic, pro-life artist who has
endured many hardships in his life and was
miraculously healed by our Blessed Mother in
Medjugorje. David will share his story and gift of
music at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish
(Wadsworth) on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at
4:00pm. There will be a reception in McMahon
Hall following the free concert where David will
conduct a “meet-and-greet”. For information,

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT, a ministry of
information, consolation, spiritual and emotional
support, will be held every Monday at Queen of
Heaven Church beginning January 11th through
February15th from 7-8:30 pm in the Gathering
Space. The ministry members will strive to provide
support and guidance for daily living for anyone
suffering grief, whether recent or lingering from the

PANCAKE BREAKFAST – Today after Mass catch
a pancake breakfast at St. Bernard Social Hall sponsored
by the Newman Campus Ministry. It supports their
mission trips to assist the needy.

Bulletin about the Pipe Organ Renovation. A donation of
$100.00 will purchase one of many new pipes that can
be dedicated to a loved one as a legacy. Your support
would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made
through the Parish Office.

– meaning “For the People” is a listed
Mass Intention that every pastor is obligated to pray for
his people weekly. I will pray it next Sunday for you in
the Holy Land. If you can, pray for me and for the 30
Pilgrims journeying in faith, prayer, and some fun in the
land of the Bible, where it is written in Psalm 122:6 :
