To deliver high quality programmes and courses to delegates both on an open programme and in-house client basis To design and deliver in both face to face and digital environments 3. To design programmes and develop high quality, latest thinking learning materials for both open and in-house learners/clients 4. To support the Employer Solutions team, advising on and writing bids, tenders and proposals for relevant work 5. To advise and support the Employer Solutions team at meetings with/presentations to current and potential clients 6. To monitor competitive activity to enable our offer to be customer focused and effectively differentiated in the market 7. Staying on top of current trends and latest thinking in learning approaches and technology 8. To undertake assessment and personal tutoring for open and B2B courses Nature and scope The job holder is responsible for the design and/or delivery of agreed programmes (on behalf of CIPD Training). In developing high quality programmes, they should take account of both the client’s and commercial partner needs. The job holder is expected to design programmes for use by themselves and other trainers/tutors. Certain courses/topics run by CIPD Training and requested by in-house clients are run with high-frequency making delivery by an employed trainer the most cost-effective option. The decision to use the employed trainer to deliver a particular programme will be made by the combination of the job holder and the training operations team. The job holder is expected to support the Employer Solutions team by contributing to meetings, proposals and presentations in order to maximise the commercial opportunities for CIPD. The job holder will be expected to advise the Employer Solutions team in reviewing opportunities to bid for in house training work and support the sales team in preparation of bids and proposals. The jobholder is expected to have a good understanding of the respective learning market, to keep abreast of competitor activities, and to work with the business to identify new opportunities and possible threats to our portfolio. All activities require the job holder to use and keep up-to-date in contemporary learning methods/techniques, technologies and equipment. To have an in-depth knowledge of learning, HR, Employment Law, OD and Engagement as well as leadership and management thinking and theories including models, philosophies and styles. The jobholder will need to build excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Close relationships with other CIPD departments is essential, Employer Solutions. An in depth knowledge of HR, Employment Law, OD, Engagement and leadership and management thinking and theories including models, philosophies and styles Confident and credible in presentations and negotiations with internal and external stakeholders The ability to assess and act as personal tutor. An appreciation and knowledge of quality management processes and procedures Good networking and inter-personal skills. The ability to work under pressure and react quickly to client requests is essential. Knowledge of the training market and an ability to determine the needs of L&D practitioners, line managers/supervisors is essential.
