You will start in Bonn and hike over the Siebengebirge to Königswinter. Enjoy the

2. day:
You will drive to Königswinter with the City railway and, from there, hike the scenic
Rheinsteig to Bad Honnef. In Bad Honnef you may enjoy regional wine during a wine
tasting and return safely with the tram to Bonn.

On Friday, our guided cultural weekend will start with a short introduction into Bonn's
history and a glass of sparkling wine. We continue with our town walk "Facts & Legends:
City, Old Town". Experience stories and history with each step as well as some or other
anecdote here and there. Afterwards, enjoy Rhineland cuisine in a Bonn brewery.
The next morning, after our tasty and refreshing breakfast, we will accompany you from
the hotel to the Museumsmeile. The next point on our agenda is the visit of the museums
of the Museumsmeile - Bundeskunsthalle/Museum König/Haus der
Geschichte/Kunstmuseum. You have approx. 4.5 hours for visiting the museums,
including the opportunity to take a snack at one of the museum restaurants.
From 3.00pm, your town walker will join you again. He will tell you a lot more about the
government quarter while you have a spectacular view of the Rhine and the panorama of
the Siebengebirge. We continue to the Südstadt, the largest intact area of Wilhelminian
style architecture in Germany which endured WWII almost unscathed. The most beautiful
quarter of Bonn was established from 1850-1910. The period after WW II until the
introduction of the protection of historical monuments was less smooth, nevertheless, the
Südstadt has stayed a closed area of Wilhelminian style buildings.
