Initial Student Concern Meeting Identify top two concerns at Grade Level / Vertical Team Meeting Using screening or current data, refer to flags below for student recommendations (Academic: MAP/STAR/AIMSweb/PALS, fluency checks, work samples, recent classroom assessments indicating discrepancies; Behavior: ODR data, AIMSweb behavior screener, attendance records) Teacher complete Tier 1 Strategies Checklist (data collection, implementation date, followup team meeting date) Use strategies and document for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of four weeks Referring teacher notifies parent(s) of concern Follow-Up Team Meeting 1. In two to four weeks, bring quantitative and qualitative data collected to the meeting (refer to data sources above) Adequate Progress Document progress and contact parents; continue strategies as long as necessary 2. Check fidelity 3. If strategy is not closing the gap based on performance data and teacher professional judgment, then the strategy is considered unsuccessful Insufficient Progress 1. Review fidelity using Tier 1 Strategies Checklist 2. Choose additional Tier I strategy(ies) to implement in the classroom. 3. Revise Tier 1 Strategies Checklist with implementation and revisit dates noted. 4. Use strategies and document for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of four weeks 5. Referring teacher contacts parents 6. Convene a second follow up meeting After second follow-up meeting, move to Tier 2 Process Move to Tier 2 Process and Maintain Tier 1 Strategies and Process Student will receive the intervention that is consistent with the level of severity as identified by the flags. Tier 3 Flags 1. Student performs below 10th percentile on universal assessment(s) 2. Student rarely meets classroom benchmarks 3. Behavioral flags are building specific, see your PBIS coach. Tier 2 Flags 1. Student performs between 11th and 24th percentile on universal assessment(s) 2. Student inconsistently meets classroom benchmarks 3. Behavioral flags are building specific, see your PBIS coach. Tier 2 Plus Flags 1. Student performs between 76th and 89th percentile on universal assessment(s) 2. Student performs above classroom benchmarks Tier 3 Plus Flags 1. Student performs above 90th percentile on universal assessment(s) 2. Student performs well above classroom benchmarks
