Description of Work:
Prepared exterior house for painting, scraped, repaired several problem areas, prepped,
power washed and stained decks, Painted entire exterior house, stained decks, repaired and
painted shutters.

They are a delight to work with. They are thorough, attention to detail, punctual, clean up
before and after, very professional, and do a great job of prep work and painting. Kept us
informed prior to of any and all schedule changes due to rain and what seemed like a
monsoon May. They do an excellent prep job and point out any issues they notice in
advance. Their prep team noticed my roof was beginning to have leak issues and took the
time to talk to us about it. They are respectful of our scheduling and moving our cars in and
out of driveway since I have two teenagers, there is lots of car moving. I have two large dogs
and they let me know in advance if dogs might be inconvenienced by painting schedule.
Gary's painter saved me from making a costly mistake when she looked at my initial color
choice by pointing out that the color was not going to be at all what I thought in the bright sun
as her experience with color made her aware of the strong blue tint that I thought was gray. I
would have made a serious mistake had she not gone back to the paint store and selected
the colors she could tell from our conversation I wanted to end up with. Which were perfect,
exactly what I had envisioned. They do great work from beginning to end. I cannot
recommend them enough.

Description of Work:
For painting, we had 4 bedrooms (and closets), dining room - area above chair rail only (and
baseboards), living room, entrance hall, hallway between two bedrooms (and the trim and
doors of the hallway), exterior front door and casing around the door. We had our exterior
windows cleaned.
Member Comments:
Our experience was very favorable: First of all, the crew was accommodating to my
schedule. They were scheduled to start Monday, but that was the first day of school for our
kids, so they agreed to start Tuesday morning. They were to finish on Saturday, but that was
my daughter's birthday - so they were able to finish on Friday afternoon by arriving early a few
mornings and working a little longer than normal for some days. They communicated with me
anytime there were any questions on the project. If I noticed any missed areas after they left
each day, they quickly addressed and corrected the following day. Any "major repairs" are
extra and they talked with me throughout the project if this was a possibility (these were very
minor additional expenses on our project).Every day the crew was VERY professional - I
could not have asked for a better group of guys to be at my house for a week. They were
polite, considerate and enjoyable to have in the house. I look forward to having my basement
painted just to have them back - that's how great they were! All the hardware that is removed
from the walls is left off for the homeowner to put back on after the project - so I kept things
together by room to make it easier for me. I did not have any damage to my items from paint
splatter or their work. I will say it's a messy project (with sanding some areas as needed) -so
I did have to do a lot of cleaning afterwards but that should be expected. We added the
exterior painting of the front door and the area around it during the week, but they were still
able to complete the project on a timely manner. I've never hired a painter before, but I was
overall pleased with this project. One point I would make is if you want your closets painted in
a room, make sure you communicate it and that it is on your proposal. That was one
miscommunication we had but we were able to address it and move forward during the
project.

Fresh Colors Painting powder washed stained and repaired our deck.
Member Comments:
They were here last spring. They were really particular about how they did things. It took a
long time to get the work done. It was more than a month from the time they came out to do
the estimate until it was finally done but a lot of that was weather related because it was
outside. Some people would have gone ahead and done it but Gary wouldn't. Every time it
rained he insisted that it had to dry for a couple of days after it rained before he would do
anything or put any stain on it. It rained almost every day or every other day for a good month
and to try to find three consecutive days when it wasn't raining was next to impossible. It just
took forever to get it done. It would be almost dry enough to do it and it would rain again but it
eventually did get down. They took up a couple of boards from the old deck that were worked
and replaced those. They stained those before they put them down and they also rebuilt a
bench that that become very worked with age. It looks beautiful. They screwed down a
couple of loose boards so that it could hold better because the original deck had been
nailed. They did a really nice job and it looks really nice. Once the weather dried enough
they really did the work. They didn't just spray stain it they were on their hands and knees
painting it with the brush. They really did a good job. We got them originally through a living
social coupon and I think they were reasonable for the amount of work they did. It was
frustrating at times but it wasn't their fault. They did know what they were doing.
