My Philosophy:

abilities and in turn I expect full effort and participation. If we can achieve this, we will have an outstanding school
year!

6th Grade Homework Policy
Responsibilities
As with all schoolwork, but especially with homework, the interaction among the teacher-student-parent/guardian is
essential. The final responsibility for homework rests with the student.
The student should
• Know the school’s homework and agenda use policies.
• Be aware of the importance of homework.
• Ensure homework is completed to the best of his/her ability.
• Complete homework in the given time frame.
• Manage time on projects and studying.
• Ask for assistance from teachers, classmates (study buddies), and parents/guardians as needed.
Consequences
1. Three missing assignments= conference with the 6th grade teachers during specials.
a. Students will be required to make up the missing work. One day will be given for each missed
assignment. Partial credit will be given for late work.
2. If homework is not made up , parental contact will be made.
3. Habitual missing work will result in a team referral to the principal.
