The Department of Adelaide Tambo School of Nursing, in the Faculty of Science has a
permanent position of Associate Professor at the Pretoria Campus
Critical Performance Areas




Teaching, facilitation and assessment of learning in the Nursing programmes of the School.
Participation in activities related to the learning programmes of the School, such as curriculum
development, quality assurance and community engagement.
Academic administration related to teaching and learning activities.
Participate in research and supervise postgraduate students on research topics within the niche
area of the School.
Minimum Requirements







A Doctoral degree in Nursing.
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing recognized by the SA Nursing Council.
A post-basic qualification in Nursing Education is essential.
Five (5) years of teaching experience in one of the disciplines of Nursing as well as research
experience.
Supervision of Masters and/or Doctoral Students.
A proven research track record of publications in both national and international journals.
Presentation at national and international conferences.
Candidates may be subjected to appropriate psychometric testing and other selection
instruments.
