Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Psychiatric Nursing)

The Department of Adelaide Tambo School of Nursing Science, in the Faculty of
Science has a permanent position of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Psychiatric Nursing) at
the Pretoria Campus
Minimum Requirements:
Lecturer:





At least a recognized Master’s degree in Nursing
An additional qualification in Nursing Education
An Advanced Psychiatric Nursing qualification will be a strong recommendation
At least three years teaching, research or clinical experience
Registration with the SANC is compulsory
Senior Lecturer:





At least a recognized Doctoral degree in Nursing
An additional qualification in Nursing Education
An Advanced Psychiatric Nursing qualification will be a strong recommendation
At least five years teaching, research or clinical experience
Registration with the SANC is compulsory
Critical Performance Areas






To teach Psychiatric Nursing theory and practica to B Tech Nursing Science III
and IV nursing students
To assist with all teaching related activities, including the development of a new
curriculum
To participate in departmental research activities
To be involved in Community Engagement projects of the Department
To liaise with industry
Responsible for administrative tasks relating to the learning programmes of the
School
