SESSIONAL LECTURERS - Business
Salary - hourly rate of pay of £37.17
Contracts will be on a fixed-term basis, for an allocated number of teaching hours per semester.
Glyndwr University has its home campus in Wrexham North Wales. Its London campus is based in
Kingston-Upon-Thames. The London Campus is directly operated by the University with academic
leadership via the relevant Head of School.
We are seeking to appoint sessional Lecturers to teach a range of business disciplines at the London
Campus. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates. Teaching areas which may
require coverage include:









Marketing, Digital Marketing
Human Resource Management
Quantitative Methods for Management
Tourism, Event Management, Tourism Policy
Accounting, Finance
Business Law
Entrepreneurship
Operations Management
Research Methods for Business
Teaching may be required at all undergraduate levels; there may be some requirement for teaching
at MBA level. Some final year project supervision may be required. Sessional Lecturer contracts
cover class contact plus preparation, assessment and associated academic processes. Experience
of teaching in UK Universities is generally expected. Applicants with recent high level postgraduate
qualifications seeking to embark on an academic career may also be considered.
Candidates will be expected to be qualified in a relevant business discipline and be qualified to
Masters level at a minimum. Practical business experience and experience of teaching in UK
Universities would be an advantage. Applicants with recent high level postgraduate qualifications

Successful candidates will work alongside an existing team of London based permanent full-time
and sessional staff who work closely with relevant colleagues at the Wrexham campus.
