Former Chair of the Bradford Diocesan Board of Finance (27 years). Member of the DBE

Scargill Movement. Board member of the Cottingley Cornerstone Centre. Chair of the

Audit Committee of the Archbishops’ Council of the Church of England.

Headteacher at St Peter’s C of E (VA) Primary School, Leeds. Worked in two other Church schools.

Former Head Teacher at Brigshaw High School in Leeds. Development Director, The

Brigshaw Cooperative Trust (an 8 school partnership in East Leeds). Formerly Regional

Adviser for the National College for Teaching and Leadership, working closely with all of the Dioceses in the region on developing succession planning approaches.

Archdeacon of Bradford with a lifelong interest in education. Taught Physics, Maths and

Religious Education at secondary level, lectured in Biblical Studies both in Africa (8 years) and in UK (9 years).

Geography teacher. Member of St Mary’s Church PCC and the team who run a thriving afternoon group for mums, grandparents, babies and young children. Chair of Governors of a Church village school for 12 years. Manages the Craven Development Education

Centre in Skipton and supports teachers/schools to bring global education into their classrooms.

Team Rector of Abbeylands Team Ministry. Degree in Public Administration (included a year working in a County Council Education Department). MA in Theology and Religious

Studies. Experience as a governor in six primary schools and Chaplain at Queen Mary’s

School. A serving governor at St Aidan’s C of E High School and St Margaret’s C of E

Primary School, Horsforth.

Archdeacon of Pontefract. Governor at Holy Trinity RC/C of E 3-16 School. Former Chair of Wakefield Diocesan Board of Education.

Career of 40 years in the NHS (training/ education/operational management with many posts at Director level handling £80m budget). Now retired.

Master’s Degree in Education at Sheffield University. A serving Magistrate. Trustee of the

Court Chaplaincy Service. Experienced school governor/chair. Other Chair roles include:

Diocesan Umbrella Trust, Board of Governors for Grace Academy (new CofE academy in

Bradford), Bishops Strategic Safeguarding Committee, Human Resources Committee.
