Review of goals: to provide facilitation of peer review for nontraditional scholarly works in support of individual faculty members and in line with full institutional support

(department, college, P&T) where no other venue is present for support; goal is not to change P&T, but to support it as it is; existing supports being developed for evaluation at the P&T stage for department chairs and committees, this committee would add a support mechanism to occur before the P&T process; model and capacity for future

Draft charge approved by the committee with the change of “use case” to “pilot project” for more familiar terminology.

Establishing standardized application process, wherein scholars with work to be reviewed complete application form as with NINES, agreed to be appropriate. d.

Sample materials determined to be productive for developing standardized application for scholars, reviewer materials, review process, etc. Committee Chair will contact venues with review process for nontraditional scholarly works (NINES, EVIA http://www.eviada.org/element.cfm?mc=6&ctID=27&eID=109 , etc.) to request sample materials for full process – all materials would be ideal, so even reviews with information redacted. Committee members will review all materials received for developing application and other templates for use with pilot project.

Next steps will follow upon receipt of materials from venues with review process for nontraditional scholarly works.
