Moral Decision-Making PSA Presentation
Expectations covered in this project:
 Students will demonstrate knowledge of the moral decision-making model (S/J/S/E) to a real-life problem
affecting youth. Students will teach the moral decision-making model during the presentation.
 Students will demonstrate understanding in recognizing legitimate authority within society (e.g. school,
law, community, Church).
 Students will demonstrate understanding of the relationship between moral decision-making and
personal/social responsibilities (i.e. How does smoking reflect a lack of love of self/God/neighbour?)
 Students will communicate about the moral decision-making model, using language, presentation style,
preparation appropriate to this grade level.
Assignment:
In class, groups will prepare and present a “public service announcement” (PSA) encouraging
youth to make moral decisions, using the model we learned in class. The PSA will be 3-5
minutes in length.

In class, groups will rehearse their PSA.
Groups may decide to use costumes and props, but only if they are necessary to enhance the performance.
Groups will submit a point-form outline of your PSA, with stage directions, on the day of their performance.

 A discussion about responsibility? (that is, love of self, God and others)
 The solving of your problem by teaching the moral decision-making model
