contact information for planning events and arranging transportation. Please check what information you would not like

Areas of need:
Please check all positions you are interested in. You will contacted prior to the April Booster club meeting to make
a final decision on the position.
Yearly Positions
Elected Booster Board Officers (yearly) - to be elected in April by all booster club members

President – attend, coordinate and direct all monthly booster club meetings; keep constant communication
with Varsity coach, elected officers, chair positions and other DHS Booster Club members; oversee budget
and money flow; do things no one else will volunteer for 
Vice-President – attend all monthly booster club meetings; assist president in any matter possible;
communicate with coaches, elected officers and chair positions; do things no one else will volunteer for 
Treasurer - attend all monthly booster club meetings; update and present money flow and budget for the
Cheer Booster Club; request checks and make deposits
Secretary - attend all monthly booster club meetings; keep a record of the minutes for each meeting and
share an electronic copy with elected officers, coaches and squad reps
Squad Representative (2 per squad): attend all booster club meetings; keep communication flow between
elected officers and parents; help get volunteers for various events throughout the year for your squad; do
things that no one else will volunteer for 
Fundraiser Chair : attend all booster club meetings; help coordinate fundraisers throughout the year; work
closely with coaches, individual event coordinators and parents involved

Photographer (1 per squad): collect pictures from your squads events and help compile an end-of-year
picture CD for banquet
Videographer (1 per squad): film sidelines, pep rallies and auxiliary events and help compile an end-of-year
slideshow for banquet
FUNDRAISER EVENTS
These are events throughout the year that raise funds for the booster club
Restaurant Events (6 yearly) –local restaurants will give us a percentage of the money earned during our
event. Each squad will host 2 events per year.
Car Washes (June, July, August) –we will host two or three car washes at local businesses;
Bronco Field Concessions (September – November) – We will work the visitors’ side concessions for two
home varsity football games and usually one playoff game. The Varsity games are covered by Freshman
and JV parents and cheerleaders. The Varsity usually covers the playoff game.
University of North Texas Concessions (November/December) – Each squad will be responsible for
manning a concession stand at the UNT Coliseum. We usually work cheer events and they will run from
7:00am to 10:00pm. We split the days into shifts. These are great fundraisers!!
Homecoming (October) – Many events rolled into one day…
 Carnival (during the day) - help sell items at DHS Carnival
 Pep Rally (during the day) – help cheerleader set-up/clean-up decorations for pep rally
 Tail-Gate - coordinate with Squad Reps on menu and set-up/clean-up
DHS EVENTS
Cheer Family Gathering (July or August) – communicate and coordinate with squad Spirit Leaders for the
annual cheer family gathering before school begins; plan venue, menu and decorations
Bronco Night (September) – help sell spirit items at Bronco Night
Jr Cheer Clinic (Oct & Feb) – help coaches with registration or spirit item tables the day of the event
Mr. DHS Texas (February or March) – a male pageant for senior scholarship fundraiser
 Event Director – oversee all activity for the event; stage director for the show
 Ad Program coordinator – coordinate, distribute and collect program ad forms
 Advertising and Sponsorships – work with event director to find local businesses to sponsor
various items for event
 Decorations - help with decorations the day of the event
 Day of Event Helpers – help with various positions on the day of the event
Banquet Committee (Dec – March) – help make decisions on venue, food and decorations and finalize
arrangements for end of year banquet; communicate with Varsity Coach, Booster President and Social
Officer.
Scholarship Committee (Jan-Feb) - review and score scholarship applications and determine scholarship
amount for applying senior cheerleaders
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Publicity (monthly) – contact paper about functions and events involving DHS Cheerleaders;
communicate with Coaches, Booster President and Program Social officer.
