Work Type Definition and Submittal Requirements Work Type Definition: Solid Waste and Recycling NOTE: Page 1 details the work type definition. In order to become pre-qualified for this work type, please see the “Work Type Submittal Requirements” on pages 2-4. I. Description A. The County is charged with managing solid waste by State law. The consultant will assist with tasks including assessing and evaluating options for managing solid waste; current and future management facilities; composition and quantification of various parts of the waste stream; recovery rate studies; and market and financial analysis. The consultant may contribute to strategic planning activities intended to address long term needs of the county, including the evaluation of policies that affect the ability of the county to meet its waste management goals and other relevant activities and policies. II. Provided by Consultant Deliverables to be supplied by the consultant for a project may include the following: Assessments and evaluations of the solid waste stream Waste, recycling and/or organics facility analysis and design Waste and recycling composition and quantification studies Recovery rate studies Landfill diversion analysis Market analysis Financial evaluation and modeling Policy evaluations and reports Strategic planning recommendations Best management practices research and evaluation The remainder of this page is blank Page 1 of 3 Work Type Definition and Submittal Requirements Work Type Submittal Requirements NOTE: A consultant firm becomes pre-qualified based on the qualifications of the personnel that are employed by the firm. Key Personnel Requirements Key Personnel are those who are responsible for management of projects within the firm, who have direct management responsibilities for specific projects, and / or who are the project manager with client liaison responsibilities. Key Personnel must have prior experience in the specific Work Type for which the firm is seeking qualification. Required Minimum of Key Personnel: • At least one person experienced in some or all aspects of the work type. Work Type Submittal Requirements* I. Project Experience Form Submit PDF of Form PQ1 Complete Parts, 1 and 2 of form PQ1 Part 1: Fill out general information and names of personnel, including other professional and technical support personnel. Fill out for each person listed in Part 1. Provide all related project examples demonstrating satisfactory experience in one or more of the aspects of the work type must be provided for each staff person listed: • Assessments and evaluations of the solid waste stream Waste, recycling and/or organics facility analysis and design Waste and recycling composition and quantification studies Recovery rate studies Landfill diversion analysis Market analysis Financial evaluation and modeling Policy evaluations and reports Strategic planning recommendations Best management practices research and evaluation Part 2: Example Projects listed must correlate to those described below in “Example Project Requirements” II.
