GENERAL I NFORMATION
W orkshop open to student applicants will take place in Lithuania, organized by the
Institute
of
Baltic
Region
Histor y
and
Archaeology
of
Klaipėda
University
http://briai.ku.lt/ within the Arcland project http://www.archaeolandscapes.eu/.
The aim of the workshop is to give students general under st anding on application
of geophysical prospection met hods (magnetometer and georadar ) in Iron Age –
Early Medieval settlement sites and inter pretation /compar ison of data.
The workshop will m ake use of a team of 4 experts f rom Germany and Lithuania t o
provide students with over view on pot ential of above mentioned geophysical
prospect ion methods in archeology.
Accomodation and me als f or participants of the workshop will be provided f ree of
any charge. Travel costs are at the responsibilit y of student participants.
The number of students is lim ited to 12, r egistration deadline is 16 March 2015.
