Families are given priority on our waiting list based on the following criteria: ****Highest Priority**** ~Families who have older children enrolled in St. Mary's School or in the child development center. ~Families who have paid $500* to pre-register their child for St. Mary's Kindergarten AND 1st grade. (*Note: Once your child has been admitted into the center, this fee is non-refundable. If St. Mary's School registration fees increase in the future, you will not have to pay the additional cost. If registration fees decrease in the future, any amount overpaid will be credited to your child's tuition.) ~Teachers of St. Mary's School and CDC. ***2nd Priority*** ~Registered parishioners of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption (West, TX). **3rd Priority** ~Parishioners of another Catholic church. *4th Priority* ~Families with the earliest date of contact. OUR CENTER Our Center has five classrooms: Our infant room holds 6-8 children, 6 weeks to approximately 8 or 9 months, with two teachers always present. The smaller mobile infant room has one teacher with typically 4 children. Our younger toddler classroom has 9-11 children (minimum age 12 months) with two teachers. The older toddler room is supervised by two teachers and holds 13-15 children (minimum age 2 years). Our preschool classroom typically has 15-18 children (minimum age 3 years AND must be near to fully potty-trained) with two teachers present. WEEKLY RATES 6 weeks - 17 months $110.00 18 months - 23 months $105.00 24+ months $100.00 $50 Enrollment Fee We re-enroll the children every year in August, so this fee will be applied annually. NOTE: We do NOT provide lunch. We provide a morning and afternoon snack only. OPERATING HOURS 7:00 am - 6:00 pm Open Year-Round Closed on the following holidays: New Year's Eve &/or Day Easter Good Friday Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving (multiple days) Christmas (multiple days) In the event of bad weather, our center will follow the same actions as St. Mary's School. Tune into KWTX - Channel 10 for announcements of closings or delays. AFTER SCHOOL CARE & SUMMER CAMP After School Care is provided from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the St. Mary’s Parish Center to St. Mary’s students ONLY. An afternoon snack is provided. Older children have an opportunity to work on homework. The children have access to the school gym and playground. When St. Mary’s School releases at 12:15 and 12:30, we provide after school care from 12:15-6:00 at no extra charge. After School Care Weekly Rate: $25 per child per week (2010-2011 School Year) **Payment is due the week before the week you’re paying for. **You are required to pay for every week of school (except Spring Break & Christmas Break) even if your child is not in attendance as long as your child is enrolled in the after school care program. We do NOT provide after school care on the days that the school is closed. We do NOT accept drop-ins. You must enroll your child in the after school care program to receive this service. Spring Break Camp & Christmas Camp During Spring Break and Christmas, St. Mary’s students (ONLY) can be signed up for our Spring Break and Christmas Camps. We provide care for the children in the St. Mary’s Parish Center from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm. Cost for camp is $15 per day or $75 per week per child. We do not provide lunch during these two camps. SUMMER CAMP When St. Mary’s School is out for the summer, we provide Summer Camp in our St. Mary’s Parish Center. Summer Camp operates between 7:30 am – 6:00 pm and is under the supervision of teachers from St. Mary’s School and our After School Care Program. We do provide lunch for the children along with a morning and afternoon snack. On the days the children go on field trips, we provide all of the children with a sack lunch. Here are some of the activities/events we offer: Field Trips or Special Visitors (Every Week) Teacher-Planned Activities Guest Readers/Trips to Library Water Day (Every Week) Bike Day Game Day (incl. Wii) Parent Luncheon Arts & Crafts TOTS (Teams of Tomorrow) Basketball Handling (Every Week) Organized Games Center-Based Free Play Piano & Guitar Lessons (additional cost) All children enrolled in Summer Camp are required to attend Vacation Bible School. We typically have 30 spots available in our Summer Camp Program due to our limitation in transportation. We will accept St. Mary’s students first.
