Join Berkeley and Berkeley-Haas alumni and friends for an event featuring popular Haas professor David
Vogel and business leader Daniel Hurstel.
Professor Vogel will share highlights from his research, exploring pragmatic issues relevant to corporate
social responsibility (CSR). Because of his seminal work in the field, Professor Vogel recently received
the Aspen Institute’s prestigious “Faculty Pioneer for Lifetime Achievement Award.” His remarks will be
complemented by insights shared by Mr. Hurstel, a corporate attorney who specializes in CSR and is a
partner of Willkie Farr & Gallagher in Paris.

reception with current and newly-admitted students in the heart of central London, overlooking the
River Thames.
Dean Lyons (BS 82) introduces fellow alumnus Henry Chesbrough (PhD 97), Executive Director for the
school’s Center for Open Innovation. Professor Chesbrough, who created the theory and coined the
term “open innovation,” will share highlights from his recently-published and much-acclaimed “Open
Services Innovation: Rethinking Your Business to Grow and Compete in a New Era,” which focuses on
innovation models that drive transformation and growth.
