Christianity will be shown starting on Tuesday 2 nd February (venue to be
announced). In these DVDs Bishop Barron journeys through different continents
in the world to tell us the story of Christianity. Come and join us: be transformed

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY: This Sunday morning, 24
January, I shall be attending a Churches Together Service at St. Michael’s Aspley
Heath for 9.45 am. A visiting cleric will be celebrating the 10.30 am Mass on this
occasion.

COMMISSIONING OF EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY
COMMUNION: Next weekend I shall be commissioning the following parishioners
as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to serve the needs of the parish,
and they are: Theresa Stotter; Jayne Fagan; Dolores McGowan; Dr.Mike Cowan;
Nikki Street and Judith Kotia-Amusan.

TRAIDCRAFT BIG BREW: This will be held in the church hall after all
Masses on 27/28 February and will include a raffle, Guess the name of
the lion, tea and coffee, fairbake cakes and an extended range of goods for sale.
The stall will also be open as usual on the weekends of 6/7 Feb + 5/6 March.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: A number of new people have undergone training to
be Assistant Ministers of the Eucharist in our Parish. To introduce them to others
in the ministry a meeting will be held where all new and existing active EMHCs
are invited to attend. The date for the meeting is to be agreed and will be held in
the Hall. All those EMHCs wishing to continue their ministry will need to attend.

WEEKEND MASS ASSISTANTS: We are preparing a new rota for 2016 and
have vacancies as follows: 6.30pm Saturday Mass: Server, Eucharistic Ministers,
Readers of the Lessons and Bidding Prayers, two persons to take up the Water
and Wine. 8.00am Sunday Mass: Server, Eucharistic Ministers, Readers of the
Lessons and Bidding Prayers, two persons to take up the Water and Wine.
10.30am Sunday Mass: Server, Eucharistic Ministers, Readers of the Lessons
and Bidding Prayers, two persons to take up the Water and Wine, two persons to
do the collection. Training can be given where necessary. You would be asked
to do your chosen role at your chosen Mass once in 5 weeks. Please let me
