2015 Livestock/Dairy CDE Information
Location: Bull Test Barn (654 Rowden Road; Carbondale, IL 62901)
Registration: 8-8:45am
Contest Start: 9am
Important Livestock/Dairy Update: This year, to alleviate crowding at rings and improve efficiency of
tabulating scores for quicker results, varsity teams will go through all rings first. Halfway through the
morning, teams will switch and junior varsity teams will go through each of the rings. This will also
provide a new opportunity if a varsity team in one division (livestock) wishes to compete as a
junior varsity team in the other division (dairy).Junior varsity teams will still be limited to freshmanjuniors, so seniors from a varsity team would be ineligible to compete on the other junior varsity team.
Students competing on a varsity team will also not be eligible to fill remaining spots on a junior varsity
team in that same division.
Teams will consist of 5 members with the top 3 scores counting towards the team score.
Each school is limited to one varsity team in each division. Each school may enter multiple junior
varsity teams in each division. Junior Varsity is limited to Freshman-Juniors.

Up to 2 alternates are allowed to attend with each team. However, these cards will not be collected and
should be scored by you after the event is over. Please signify the number of alternates you plan to bring
on your registration forms.
