Science/English Final Group Debate Sheet
--Format for in-class debate:
1. Team 1 presents an argument.
2. Team 2 delivers a rebuttal to this argument.
3. Team 1 responds to the rebuttal and earns 1 point. If Team 1 cannot respond, Team 2 will
earn 1 point.
4. Team 2 can present a second rebuttal or present a new argument and the above process is
repeated with Team 1 now offering the rebuttal. You can continue for as long as you like. The
team with the most points wins the debate!
5. Every student on your team is required to present at least one argument or rebuttal.
