THREAT MANAGEMENT TRAINING WATCHDOG SECURITY GROUP WATCHDOG was founded in 2003 by Rotorua born brothers Brett and Mark Wilson. It employs more than 50 staff in areas such as alarm and video surveillance security installations, alarm monitoring, security patrols, site security officers, fraud and theft investigation services and specialty risk management training. TRAINER PROFILE - JANE SEARLE LLB All training packages are designed by Jane Searle who is an ex-Barrister and Solicitor with criminal litigation experience. Jane has worked in the United Kingdom where she headed a team of fraud investigators for the National Health Service. In her role she also developed and delivered fraud awareness training packages. Before moving to London Jane was a Detective in the New Zealand Police and spent the last two years of her service working in the Child Abuse Team. She has also acted as an advisor in court proceedings involving child exploitation in South East Asia. WATCHDOG SECURITY GROUP 1 Training Objective The objective of the training sessions is to assist businesses equip their management team with the knowledge and skill set to allow them to better deal with areas of vulnerability in their organisation. The session is designed to demonstrate to managers how they can be proactive in facilitating a culture in their organisation that will not tolerate dishonesty and gives staff the confidence to report incidents of dishonesty, criminal or inappropriate behaviour. 2 Training Details The package is designed as a practical guide for all levels of management in the areas of; o Internal Theft o Fraud o Building a zero tolerance culture o Whistle Blower policies o Training staff how to report o The importance of following procedure and policies o Creating transparency in the organisation The session facilitates discussion among attendees regarding the above points. The session is tailored to meet the individual requirements of the organisation including discussion regarding areas of concern specific to that company. 3 Training Structure The training is delivered in a 1.5 hour session. Experience shows that longer sessions cause the attendee to lose concentration and do not result in any more information being retained. The session is delivered in a relaxed, informal format that encourages attendee participation, questions and discussion. Threat Awareness Training Objective The training objective is to equip attendees with knowledge and skills to deal with any level of hostile situation from argumentative clients to armed offenders. Training Details The package is designed as a practical guide for staff that is easily recalled and followed when faced with any level of threat or violence. Attendees are taught to be observant of their surrounding and to assess possible threats so that where possible preventative action can be taken to avert the threat escalating. Attendees are also taught basic rules regarding what action to take if faced with a dangerous or violent situation. Incorporates relevant client policy.
