Spend time in the Northern part of France visiting Paris, Versailles, Chartres, Tours, Mont St.
Michel, Normandy – including Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery - and more. Enjoy
the views of French countryside on the high speed TGV train connecting Paris and the Southern
part of France. Visit the Provence region of Southeastern France spending time in Avignon,
Nice, Cannes, and an opportunity to visit Monaco/Monte Carlo in the French Riviera on the
Mediterranean coast.
*Price is based on double occupancy and includes round trip airfare from Newark, NJ Airport, hotel
accommodations with breakfast, all group meals, sightseeing and entrance fees per itinerary, and all
transfers.
Note: Flight will depart from Newark Airport. Bus transportation from Greensburg to the airport will be
available. The cost for the bus (approximately $135.00 per person/round trip) will be shared by those who
take advantage of this convenient and inexpensive way to get to the airport.

Day 1 - Thursday, May 12, 2016
Depart Newark, NJ for our flight to Nice, France
Day 2 -Friday, May 13, 2016
Arrival in Nice. After we clear customs and immigration meet our Tour Manager in the arrivals
Hall. Board your motor coach and transfer to your hotel. Tonight, welcome dinner at a local
restaurant.

Day 3 - Saturday, May 14, 2016
After breakfast, meet your local guide for a morning tour. Take a mini-train up to the "Colline du
Château" for panoramic views of the city and “Bay of the Angels”.
The afternoon is free at leisure OR Perhaps take an optional tour to St Paul de Vence.
Drive into the pine scented hills above Nice to visit the hilltop St. Paul de Vence - a walled town
which still retains its medieval character and is a haven for artists - a treasure trove of workshops
and galleries. Wander the cobbled streets to the central fountain, and see the burial place of Marc
Chagal.
The evening is free at leisure or Perhaps, join the optional tour to Monte Carlo by night. Drive
along the dazzling Corniche road to the Principality of Monaco to visit the world-famous Monte
Carlo Casino, one of the Riviera's most frequented landmarks. Monte Carlo is the epitome of
wealth and glamour; a prime destination for royalty and some of Hollywood's most famous actors
and actresses. View the route of the Grand Prix, the luxury boats in the harbor and view the
Prince's Palace, atop the famed "Rock". Enjoy the lights of the coastline as you return to Nice

Day 4 - Sunday, May 15, 2016
Buffet Breakfast at your hotel this morning. We will visit a French perfumery in Grasse before
travelling on to Cannes. Drive along the Boulevard de la Croisette to see the Film Festival Center
and the harbor. We travel past the Abbey of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume and Mont St.
Victoire enroute to Provence. Admire the scenery which inspired so many of the impressionist
artists as we continue to Avignon.

Day 5 - Monday, May 16, 2016
After breakfast this morning we, enjoy an orientation tour of the town, including a view of the
famous broken bridge, the lively Place d'Horloge and the Papal Palace, one of the largest and
most significant medieval Gothic buildings in Europe. We view the Pont du Gard, a UNESCO
World Heritage Site that is the most ancient Roman aqueduct in France. In the afternoon drive to
the Rhone vineyards and the lovely town of Chateauneuf du Pape. We then return to Avignon
where the evening is at leisure.

Day 6 - Tuesday, May 17, 2016
After breakfast, transfer to the rail station for TGV Train to Paris. On arrival in Paris, we will meet
our Touring coach and travel to Chartres, home to the greatest gothic cathedral in France.
Originally built in 1020, the cathedral contains the sacred Veil of the Virgin relic and a world-
renowned collection of stained glass windows. Continue to Tours for overnight. Evening dinner at
hotel.

Day 7 - Wednesday, May 18, 2016
Spend the full day in the Loire Valley exploring the nearby sights. Travel to the magnificent
Chateau de Chenonceau. Stretching across the river Cher, the chateau boasts a 197 foot gallery,
built over a series of arches. Take some time to explore the extravagantly furnished rooms and
formal gardens, added by a mistress of Henry II, Diane de Poitiers. Also visit the Royal Chateau
d'Amboise for a guided tour. The castle is most closely associated with King Francois I who
introduced the Renaissance to France, and brought Leonardo da Vinci to his court. The artist is
buried in the chapel. We then enjoy a wine tasting.
Return to Tours where the evening is at leisure.

Day 8 - Thursday, May 19, 2016
Depart today to the iconic Mont. St. Michel, rising from the sea on a mighty rock. Cross the
causeway by shuttle and browse the narrow streets and admire the views of the surrounding bay,
with time for lunch in this charming town. One of France's most recognizable landmarks, the
fortified town is crowned by the mighty 10th century Abbey. This afternoon, continue to Bayeux or
nearby area for dinner at hotel and overnight

Day 9 - Friday, May 20, 2016
Spend the full day in Normandy exploring the sights and sandy beaches. Begin by stepping back
in time to a historical battle, and see the intricate Tapestry, woven to commemorate the Norman
invasion of England by William the Conqueror in 1066. Then your attention turns to World War II
and the D-Day invasion, a day that is remembered for true bravery and sacrifice and the
beginning of the liberation of France. Visit St. Mere Eglise on Utah beach along the east coast of
the Cotentin Peninsula, where the allied invasion began on June 6, 1944 - D-Day. Make a stop at
the Ranger Memorial at Pointe du Hoc. Continue east to visit Omaha beach and the site of the
Normandy American Cemetery and memorial. The cemetery covers 172.5 acres and contains the
graves of 9,387 American soldiers. Return to Bayeux in the early evening

Day 10 - Saturday, May 21, 2016
This morning, depart for Paris. On the way, stop in Giverny and visit the former house of Claude
Monet. Explore the famous gardens which inspired many of Monet's paintings. On arrival in Paris,
join your fellow travelers for dinner in a French Bistro

Day 11 - Sunday, May 22, 2016
This morning, enjoy a guided city tour of Paris, the City of Light, including a drive along the
Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe. View the Eiffel Tower, Cathedral of Notre Dame,
Napoleon's Tomb, the Latin Quarter, and the lively Opera district.
Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure or join the optional tour to magnificent Versailles to
witness the grandeur of French classical architecture on the visit to the Palace and extravagant
State Apartments

Deposit of $500.00 per person due at time of booking. The organizer acts only as your agent in
managing the various accommodations and assumes no responsibility or liability in connection
with any aircraft, motor coach or other conveyance, restaurant, excursions, sightseeing, or hotel
accommodations in the performance of this tour. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable
to alter the itinerary, such alterations will be made. Any additional expenses will be borne by the
passenger(s).
Note: Airline/airport taxes/fees, fuel surcharge, and any increases due to exchange rate
fluctuations will be reflected in the final invoice.
