The wonderful country of France is located in Eastern
Europe, with Spain in to the south and Germany is to the north.
The Capitol of France is Paris. France is roughly 211,209 square
miles, with a population of about 62,814,233 people.
History of France:
In France, the country has very fertile soil which gives them
fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, grains and meats year round.
France is also popular for their wine, and they get the grapes
from their high class vineyards. The food varies throughout
France, so the food that a person eats says a lot about their
heritage, region of birth, social status, and health. Meals in
France are normally long, and although it has been shortened
since 1715, back then the king had feats that lasted twelve
hours. To the French, The presentation of the food is just as
important as the taste and quality of the food. Baguette is a
bread that is the most important food for all French meals.

For special occasions, a cake called La galette des rois made and
eaten. For many major holidays the French have picnics with
different cheeses. Three well known types of cheese to the France
is Camembert, brie, chevre.
Typical Foods:
Although breakfast is not a very popular meal, if they do have
breakfast, the most popular choice is a croissant with butter of
Jam. Sometimes, ham and eggs are eaten as well. Lunch is a very
popular meal, and normally lasts about two hours. For many, they
combine their lunch with their breakfast. For dinner, they have
salads, and main meals, and also Cheese Soufflé.
