Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center Position Title: Bilingual Parent and Family Therapist Status: Full-time, Exempt Supervisor: Program Director The Parent and Family Therapist will provide individual, family, and group therapy to nonoffending caregivers and other family members of victims of child abuse, using evidence-based treatment modalities. The Parent and Family Therapist may see child victims as needed. Evening hours may be required once a week or as necessary. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Counseling Clinical assessment for non-offending caregivers and family members; Provide individual, family, and group counseling to non-offending family members using evidence-based treatment modalities; Complete individualized treatment plans; Measure treatment progress by assessing improvement on clinical assessment tools; Document session notes in client chart, provide written reports as appropriate, and enter service data in a database; Provide crisis intervention for clients receiving other primary services of the Center; Prepare child non-offending caregiver and/or family members for court; and Provide expert witness testimony in court, if requested. Additional Duties Participate in monthly Child Protection Team (CPT) staffing; Maintain current training and information on evidence based treatment modalities for child abuse victims and their family members; Attend trainings as directed by program director; Provide content and assistance for program-related funding applications; Provide on-call support as needed (generally one time per month); Participate in monthly clinical case review with clinical lead; Participate in agency activities and events; and Other duties as assigned. ________________________________________________ 1811 SE Inner Loop * Georgetown TX 78626 (512) 943-3701 * Fax (512) 868-3970 Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Masters Degree in mental health (Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy); State of Texas licensure to practice –Licensed Professional Counselor; (LPC/LPCIntern); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Associate (LMFT/LMFT-Associate) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Minimum of five years combined professional experience working with child abuse victims and families, providing individual, family, group therapy, or other evidence based treatment modalities; Working knowledge of the dynamics of sexual abuse and trauma; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Strong organizational skills; Comfortable in presenting information and developing community relationships; and Must be a strong team player, with proven leadership experience or aspirations.
