Advancement Highlights:

Major Gifts:

Corporate Proposal: Submitted May 2014

Amount $28,500 received

Funding priority: Semaphore Lab 3D Prosthetic Printing Research

Foundation proposal: To be submitted in November 2014

Amount: $25K (Request for multi-year commitment)

Funding priority: Student Experience, Internships Academic Libraries

Foundation proposal: In progress

Amount: $2.5M USD

Funding priority: Curatorship, Centre for Museology, Information and Culture

Foundation proposal: To be submitted in November 2014

Amount: $3M

Funding priority: Program Support, Centre for Museology, Information and Culture

Gift Planning:

Gift Planning has been identified as an area with strong future revenue potential for the Faculty and will become a stronger area of focus in the coming years

Informed Alumni magazine will be mailed to 150 gift planning prospects with gift planning information in October 2014

Book Binding Gift Planning event to be held in early December, 2014 (12 prospects and donors)

Visit to Ottawa January 15/16 2015. 30 Gift Planning prospects live in the region and an alumni event will also be held in conjunction with Museum Studies Students.

Volunteer Leadership:

Volunteer, David Nostbakken, has been engaged to assist with McLuhan fundraising priorities, cultivating and soliciting prospects. Goal to have individual meetings and a small group of influential prospects involved on an advisory council by February 2015

Community Engagement:

Continuing to meet with organizations, corporations and associations. Recent meeting held with

Ontario Health Libraries Association (OHLA) on September 29, 2014.
