2) Financial Aid and Scholarships:
St. William Financial Aid Fund: (Pick up application in the school office)
Through this fund, St. William offers financial aid for needy families. The Financial Aid
Request form is used to determine distribution of these funds, as available, and is due
back by March 4th, 2013 with all required documents attached. Failure to supply
required information disqualifies the request.
Financial Aid will be awarded first to Active Worshipping members of St. William
parish, then if funding is available to returning enrolled families, and then if funding is
still available to new families.
The ESAP Program: (Pick up application in the school office.)
This program is two-fold: Financial Aid and Scholarships.
Financial Aid is available to current 4th to 7th graders for 5th to 8th grade year. This
is based on financial need and determined by PSAS application due March 1, 2013.
Scholarships for $500 are awarded to one girl and one boy in each participating
school for students in the 7th grade, for their 8th grade year. A short essay is required
and is due by March 1, 2013. Pick up application in school office.
Policy as of January 30, 2013. Subject to review and clarification.

3) Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program
Other Fees:
There may be additional fees during the year for added events, such as field trips, etc. Fees are charged for name tags, student planners, and science
supplies. In addition we have a list of supplies that each student needs to bring to begin the year. These costs are not paid by tuition, EdChoice
Vouchers, or Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship.
St. William School participates in the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program. Therefore St. William
follows all of the regulations pertaining to EdChoice Vouchers and Ohio Revised Code that apply to
this participation. At this time, the EdChoice Scholarship Program pays up to $4250 toward the tuition
for those students who would otherwise attend an eligible public school. For more information or to
see if your child is eligible, please check with the school office or online at http://EdChoice.ohio.gov .
Income Status determines what you must do about paying the difference between the
EdChoice Scholarship amount and Total Due (Tuition minus Active Worshipper Grant as
determined by Tables 1A to 1E):
EdChoice Low Income Status:
Families that qualify as Low Income Status, per EdChoice regulations, cannot be required to
pay the difference between Total Due (Tuition minus Active Worshipper Grant per Tables 1A to 1E)
amount and the EdChoice Scholarship amount if the Total Due (Tuition minus Active Worshipper
Grant per Tables 1A to 1E) amount is higher than the EdChoice Scholarship amount. Low Income
Status is obtained and verified through application to the EdChoice Office as part of the EdChoice
Scholarship Program. It is the family’s responsibility to fulfill the ODE requirements for Low Income
Status. It is imperative that families not only request, but become qualified as Low Income Status by
providing required proof documents to the EdChoice Office. St. William School does not perform this
process, we do receive the results of this qualification. Failure to do this means you will be required to
fulfill the requirements of a NOT Low Income family.
EdChoice NOT Low Income Status:
Families that do not qualify for Low Income Status will be required to pay the difference
between the Total Due (Tuition minus Grant per Tables 1A to 1E) if this amount is greater than the
EdChoice Scholarship, and the maximum voucher amount of $4250 per student.
EdChoice NOT Low Income Examples:
1 enrolled student family fulfilling requirements of Table 1C will pay $100 difference ($4350
minus $4250 voucher amount).
1 enrolled student family fulfilling requirements of Table 1E will pay $1350 difference ($5600
minus $4250 voucher amount).
2 enrolled student family fulfilling requirements of Table 1B will pay $0 difference and the
EdChoice Voucher system is invoiced $6812 ($3406 per child, which is less than the available
maximum of $4250 per child.)
2 enrolled student family fulfilling requirements of Table 1D will pay $1237 difference ($9737
minus 2 X $4250 = $8500 vouchers amount)

children to receive special education services through St. William School as an

of the student per the student’s IEP, except as authorized by the parents. Parents are
responsible for costs exceeding these amounts in addition to costs of services not
identified in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP.) A memorandum of
understanding will be in place to confirm services and clarify costs. If St. William
School and the student’s parents/guardians cannot come to an agreement, the parents
should seek another opportunity for placement.

monthly statement and included in the total balance due on account.
