MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COHOES BOARD OF ETHICS, HELD ON
TUESDAY, JULY 21, 2015 IN THE COMMON COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL

The meeting came to order at 5:06 p.m.
Items Considered:
The minutes of the meeting of the Cohoes Board of Ethics which was held on June
29, 2015 were approved by a unanimous vote as printed.
The Cohoes Board of Ethics reviewed proposed amendments to the Code which
would provide for the following:
Funding for an independent counsel for the Cohoes Board of Ethics, when
necessary
Definition of "political activities" as stated in the New York State Labor Law
Definition of "work hours" as stated in the New York State Labor Law
The Cohoes Board of Ethics recommended the proposed amendments to the
Common Council for their favorable consideration by a unanimous vote.
The Cohoes Board of Ethics reviewed the facts concerning Advisory Opinion No.
15-2 and agreed that there was no violation of the Code of Ethics by a unanimous
vote.
The Cohoes Board of Ethics discussed Complaint No. 15-2 and deemed that there
was no violation of the Code of Ethics by a unanimous vote.
The next meeting of the Board of Ethics was tentatively set for August 31, 2015 at
5 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers of City Hall.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
