Extended duties course for prescribing Radiographs Postgraduate Dentistry A course for Dental Hygienists & Dental Therapists The GDC ‘Scope of Practice’ has identified appropriate extended duties for dental hygienists and dental therapists this is the first in many courses enabling you to undertake extended duties. You will be expected to complete a record of experience and will require the support of a supervising dentist to ensure clinical competencies are achieved. Aim To give an update on current national guidelines on radiography selection criteria to and introduce basic principles of radiographic interpretation, identify normal anatomy and pathology.
