Sexual Offending Monitoring Service- restrictions
are applied:
 very invasive e.g. not able to go where I
want,
 need to tell them if I get a tattoo, move
home or apply for a job
 can’t get a girlfriend with children
because of the restrictions
Removal from the family and friends and job
Fear of another conviction
Increase in mental health issues
Homelessness
Change in sex drive – increased/decreased
Lack of trust – authorities, family, school, work
etc.
Family disowned me, “I have no contact with
them now”
“Can’t come to your appointments for education
because I have so much community service to
do!!!!”
Someone put the details on Facebook now I can’t
go to my local area or see my friends in my local
pub.
I would like to work in the mines as a kitchen
hand. How can I when I have to report in so
often.
