ASTERIA & THE MAGMA
A team of technical and graphic experts for a state-of-the-art museum
The “grand debut” of a museum you have worked on is always an exciting affair. Although Asteria can boast a number
of partnerships with internationally renowned museums, such as the MAUTO—National Automobile Museum in Turin
and the MUSE—Trento Museum of Science, for us the opening of the MAGMA in Follonica really is a thrilling
achievement.
Such a complex and innovative museum called for the involvement of the entire team at Asteria. For almost two years,
we immersed ourselves in the Maremma and lived and breathed cast iron. For months we were honorary citizens of
Follonica, working closely with the museum’s architects, the scientific committee, the director of works and the local city
council commissioning the project.
As head of the business syndicate which, with the local firms Arazzi and IMEL, tangibly forged it, we are proud to
present to the public and the media the new MAGMA—Museo delle Arti in Ghisa nella MAremma.
We hope the permanent exhibition will become a rallying point for the local community and a popular attraction for Italian
and international tourists.
Our profile
Asteria is a communication and design agency that specialises in communicating complex content to a wide-ranging
target group. We design and create museum displays, exhibitions, multimedia events and presentations for national and
international clients.
We provide new display solutions with the aim of making:

educational aspects established in museums more stimulating and interactive
scientific and historical content more involving and immersive
art more accessible, also for children and the disabled.

Our experience encompasses a wide range of services for cultural communication, the popularisation of science, and
teaching - museum displays, temporary exhibitions, visitor centres, exhibition stands, multimedia workstations, video
installations and interactive presentations.
Our trump card is the integration of all phases of the display solution - we accompany clients from the first brainstorming
session through to the opening of the museum, and even afterwards, by providing maintenance.
Depending on the requirements, Asteria can transform itself into a museum design company, a multimedia software
development firm, a cinema production company, a team of electronic engineers, or a drama and set design company.
