PRESIDENT BIOGRAPHY PROJECT
You must do the following:
Present (4- minutes), in your own words, on your assigned President. Include the
following:
-Where from? Where born? When?
-Previous (before President) political experience and/or other job experience.
-Description of personality
-Family, wife, children, etc.
-Any military service? War hero?
-Campaign description/platform/slogans
-Which political party belonged to?
-How many terms?
-Major accomplishments when President. What known for?
-Any major scandals, etc.?
-What did he do after he left office?
-Post Presidency occupations / activities?
Then choose 5 of the following to include in your project:
A. A political cartoon (caricature) about your President.
B. A newspaper article (or other article) about your President.
C. The lyrics of the Presidential theme song for your President.
D. A list and short description of at least 10 events (not about the President) that occurred
while your President was in office.
E. A list of top movies and/or songs and/or cultural events that were popular while your
President was in office.
F. A description about what life was like during that time: What was the life expectancy,
what
was invented during this time, homes, lifestyle, average wages, cost of everyday items,
etc.
G. A summary of the President’s campaign including slogans, debate events, speeches,
the
electoral college total, etc.
Your final project should include the following:
1. 3-5 minute presentation (this can be powerpoint, iphoto, podcast, imovie, etc)
2. Your 5 additional features (political cartoon, articles, etc.)
3. A top ten of things about your President to be put up on the wall
4. Bibliography: List of resources used, including websites. *** MUST BE
ACADEMICALLY APPROPRIATE (NO WIKIPEDIA)****
