Fall 2015
The Lion Institute is offering several fun enrichment classes for the fall! We are going to do Mini-Mesters this year and have 3 weeks of classes. The dates for the Fall are October 19, October 26, and November 2. Classes will be held at the Mane Campus from 3:30 - 4:30. LLCA students can turn in their registration form and money at the campus they attend. Students who attend the Mane
Campus will be watched by the directors, Ginger Ward and Carla Franklin, until classes begin. During that time, students can buy a snack and/or drink from the snack cart or eat a snack packed from home. Student pick up will begin at
4:30 under the awning of the church. Any students staying for After-Care will be walked down when classes are over.
Lion Institute classes are OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

Need to Bead
Students will enjoy learning how to make beads out of clay. Then they will get to make bracelet out of the beads they make. Then using other fun beads, they will make a zipper pull and a necklace. (Grades 2-5)

Praisin’ Puppets
If you loved Dr. Odenheimer, who visited us in chapel time, this is the class for you! Come learn to do skits and songs in puppetry. Students will be engaged in dramatic puppet theater and learn how to entertain an audience (Grades 1-5)

Totally Awesome Science
Do you like to do cool science experiments? In this course, students will have fun learning while doing hands-on experiments. Come do some neat things with Mrs. Clark!
(Grades 1-6)

It’s Sew Easy
Students in this class will learn beginner sewing. Kids will learn basic stitches and they will make a fabric headband and a Fleece infinity scarf. This class is limited to 6 students.
Students that have their own sewing machine should bring them, but it's not a requirement.

Aerodynamics of Flight
In this class students will take an in-depth look at a few variables of airplane design: gravity, lift, thrust, drag. The class will culminate in the design and test flight of a paper airplane.

Creating Cupcakes
This class will be limited to 10 students. Students in this class will decorate different cupcakes each week. They need to bring a container to hold their creations from class to bring home.
