POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Statewide Director of Program Services, the Regional Director of
Program Services-Southern Arizona manages and oversees the implementation, growth and
development of MIKID services provided in geographic areas defined by MIKID as Southern
Arizona. This position will act as the primary business liaison between MIKID and funding
sources such as RBHA’s/TRBHA’s, Community Rehabilitation Services, etc.; other agencies
located in their assigned geographic areas; clients and their representatives; and the community
at large. This position will provide Clinical oversight and supervision in support of the Clinical
Director position as credentials allow. A Licensed Independent Practitioner is preferred to fill the
role of this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 Responsible for the oversight and management of all contractual compliance for MIKID
Services provided in Southern AZ.
 Oversee and manage operational costs relative to service delivery in respective cost centers
to include development of monthly reports for tracking departmental performance.
 Oversee and manage the recruitment of service providers for assigned geographic areas.
 Directly supervise the Family Services Coordinators, Family Support Coordinators in
assigned geographic areas.
 Participate in biweekly clinical oversight with respective staff.
 Provide Clinical services, oversight and supervision as personal credentials support.
 Provide Billable services where needed and attend CFT’s and IEP Meetings when
appropriate.
 Provide oversight, training and direction for Southern AZ external and internal incident
reports.
 Conduct staff training and consultation as needed
 Ensure respective staff is kept current with Covered Services Guide, AZ Administrative
Code, DBHS Policy and Procedure and respective RBHA/TRBHA Policy and Procedure as it
relates to service delivery; and with all Medicaid funded services following the Medcaid
guidelines
 Where needed, market MIKID services to respective agencies and collaborative partners.

As MIKID liaison, attend various committees facilitated by agencies, communities and/or
RBHAs/TRBHAs in assigned geographic service areas or assigned statewide committees,
task forces, etc.
Oversee site building and licensing, city, county, Tribal business practices as may be required
by state and or local government regulations in assigned services areas.
Oversee and assist with preparation for audits for MIKID services provided in assigned
geographic areas.
Regularly travels throughout the assigned geographic areas to meet with staff, clients,
representatives and members of the local communities.
Develop and oversee implementation of corrective action plans in response to audit findings.
Serve as an advisor to MIKID in regard to personnel policies and practices
Participate in Senior. Management meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES







Working knowledge of Microsoft products.
Knowledge of youth guided family driven care.
Knowledge of Family Run Organizations in the Behavioral Health Field.
Extensive knowledge of behavioral health agency policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with issues of a sensitive nature.
Current CPR and 1st Aid Certification.
Prefer an individual with life experience with a child in the behavioral health system and at
least one other child serving system. (Example: Special Education, Juvenile Justice, Child
Protective Services, Developmental Disabilities. Etc)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE







Master's degree and Licensed Independent Practitioner in behavioral health field preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in a behavioral health care organization, three (3)
years n a management position.
Experience supporting youth and young adults in behavioral health system.
Experience supporting families with children in the behavioral health system.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Current DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as copy machine and
printer.
Frequently ascends/descends stairs to visit other offices or attend meetings.
Occasionally positions self to reach desk drawers, file cabinets, etc.
Frequently communicates with internal and external constituents related to transition topics,
youth involvement and education.
Must be able to travel and operate a vehicle for up to 6 hours in a day.
