Prepares students for practice education placement informed both by requirements of university requirements and placement site and debrief students afterwards. 2. Participation in the supervision of students in collaboration with Practice Tutors, Regional Placement Facilitators and Practice Educators. 3. Support and participate, if required, in the assessment of student performance in collaboration with Practice Educators, Practice Tutors, Regional Placement Facilitators and/or relevant university staff and monitor the assessment process. 4. Participate in the development of practice education curricula in collaboration with Regional Placement Facilitators, Practice Tutors and University based staff, with the aim of integrating theory into practice and fostering evidence-based practice. 5. Contribution to teaching of specific preparatory practice education induction modules for students at the University prior to their commencement of practice education. 6. Delivering of occasional lectures in the academic programme, as required and time permitting. 7. Contribute to and attend at clinical education workshops and training days organised by the University and any relevant committees. 8. Participate in the development and integration of practice education within the curriculum in alignment with accreditation standards. 5 Research (Publications, Grant Applications/Awards, Ph.D. students 9. Contribute to research culture/activity within and across the university department and relevant services. 10. Identify areas of practice, which require research and contribute to the dissemination of good practice in collaboration with all stakeholders. 11. Participation in research on the efficacy of the clinical placement with practice education models in collaboration with University colleagues, service managers, professional bodies and other stakeholders. Administration (Administrative, Management, Wider contribution) 14. Assume responsibility for the strategic management of Practice Education including the development of placement opportunities and the education of Practice Educators. 15. Co-ordinate, allocate, arrange and manage practice education placements. 16. Actively seek and develop practice education placements opportunities including a range of environments not previously explored, in liaison with the Regional Placement Facilitator(s). 17. To visit potential placement site as required in liaison with Service Mangers. 18. Promote and develop communication and links with a range of local services in order to develop clinical practice education opportunities. 19. Participate in the quality assurance mechanism of the student learning environment. Implement quality initiatives agreed by the National Implementation Group in collaboration with other stakeholders. 20. Facilitate communication and effective working relationships between therapists in service delivery and University based staff. 21. Facilitate Regional Placement Facilitators, Practice Tutors and Practice Educations in provision of ongoing feedback to students about their performance. 22. To liaise with Regional Placement Facilitators, Practice Tutors and Practice Educators in relation to the effectiveness of placements and to student progress. 23. Keep abreast of research and practice developments in relevant areas by attending seminars, conferences and post graduate courses and maintain competency. 24. Participate in a performance review process with a line manager. 6 25. Promote inter-professional learning across disciplines in the health care setting. 26. Contribution to a professional practice education network with Practice Education Co-ordinators in other regions to maximise capacity and quality and streamline placements. This may include the development and roll out of innovative learning methodologies, common assessment criteria, benchmarking standards for clinical placement, supervision models clinical practice education, teaching skills and the use of information technology. 27. Provide support to practice tutors, Regional Placement Facilitators and Practice Educators who engage in with practice education through mentoring and the organisation, design and delivery of CPD workshops and courses related to education and evidence-based practice. 28. Facilitate Regional Placement Facilitators, Practice Tutors and Practice Educators in evaluating student learning experience. 29. Contribute to the development and promotion of multiprofessional working in the delivery of patient care for the benefit of patients. 30. Allocate and organise clinical placements to meet the learning needs of the student and the accreditation requirements of student education and requirements of professional bodies. 31. Manage resources allocated to promote learning in practice. 32. Establish and maintain positive relationships with practitioners and other members of the university characterised by open communication trust and respect. Monitor the learning experiences of student therapists and address any issues arising with key stakeholders. 33. Evaluate practice education standards within placement sites in collaboration with all stakeholders. 34.
