Summer Placements
There are a limited number of summer placements available. At this time, Developmental
Interventionist placements exist in Center-Based programs located in Louisville and
Elizabethtown. Efforts are planned to provide additional summer placements in other regions
near the IECE program sites. Due to limited availability, students who request a summer
placement must complete the information below. Placement selections are made by a committee
from the School of Education.

Note: Spring semester student teachers who opt for summer placements will receive an
“incomplete” at the end of the semester in ED 450. This will be changed to a grade at the
completion of the summer placement. Students should be aware that this option will delay their
Certificate of Eligibility, which may impact employment opportunities and salary.
