Microwave / Uplink Operations














Install and maintain uplink and TVRO system facilities for different ABS-CBN stations.
Maintain ABS-CBN Satellite Uplink and Downlink equipments. From baseband to antenna.
Install and maintenance of all microwave repeaters sites.. and monitoring of all microwave live coverage
Handles Microwave point to point transmission and reception for various coverages.
Monitoring of 24/7 uplink/microwave operations.
Traffic adhoc satellite transmissions from provincial uplinks and SNG/Flyaway
Provide technical assistance to provincial TVRO, affiliates, cable operators, international News Wires such as
CNN,BBC,Reuters,NHK…etc. with regards to services we provide.
Coordinate with various Satellite Service Providers like MabuhaySat, PanamSat,
EutelSat,LMI,IntelSat,AsiaSat…etc. regarding transmission test,antenna qualifications,downlink monitoring for
spot beam Tx and other services they rendered.
Handles Microwave point to point transmission and reception for various coverages.
Operate and maintain various broadcast and RF equioments such as:
o Broadcast:wavelinks,ADC,Distribution Amplifiers,Processors,Routers,servers,VTR’s,
Switchers,Mixers,Video Standard converters.
o RF and Test Instruments: Encoders, Modulators, Multiplexers,Upconverters,Power Meters,
Spectrum Analyzers, Servers,AUPC,SSPA’s,MPA’s and Klystron Amplifiers
Handles ABS-CBN Compression System ( MPEG-4 and DVB) Such as Scientific Atlanta PowerVu and
Divicom Thesys Management.
Handles ABS-CBN fiber Network. Knowledge in DS3 and ATM transmission.
Knowledge in Networking, TCP/IP and other Networking Protocols.
Involves in planning, design, and implementation through system upgrade and integration of the following: RF
and Broadcast Integration of All Microwave and repeaters ENG Mobile and SNG Mobile and Flyaway System;
Installation and upgrade of all ABS-CBN provincial Uplink system; migration of ABS-CBN
