Ascertain as much information as possible from the caller
As soon as the connection is lost (caller hangs up) access the
same line and dial *57 (DO NOT DIAL 9) and remain on the line
until you hear the confirmation that the trace was successfully
started (see memo dated August 28, 2002—attached)

 Call Public Information Office (343-6260)

 If a bomb is verified, follow evacuation plan

Civil Disturbance

If driver recognizes a threat upon approaching the school, do not
unload students. Continue to drive to a safe location and contact
transportation office (343-3605).
 If threat is recognized as students are unloading, attempt to re-load and
drive to safe location. Contact transportation office (343-3605).
 If driver recognizes a threat when departing, drive away from school and
contact school officials (343-3627), transportation office (3433605), and
law enforcement (911).
 If the driver recognizes a threat as students are loading the bus, drive
away with students who are on the bus. Adults on duty should secure
any remaining students. Take cover and look for an escape route of
safe location
 Alert the principal

 Alert key staff members by message or code
 Isolate students from disruption by initiating a "lockdown" or evacuating
the building
