Textbooks for Troops
Initial each item indicating that you have read and understand the program requirements.
 Students must have at least a 2.5 GPA from the previous semester to qualify. First-time WKU
students are exempt from this requirement until their second semester.
 You must not be receiving a textbook stipend, scholarship, or other financial aid for textbooks.
(Post 9/11 GI Bill recipients are NOT eligible for this program. You are receiving a book stipend.)
 Textbooks are loaned per semester on a first-come, first-serve basis. Request your textbooks
early! Book requests must be in no later than 10 days prior to the semester beginning.
 We do not guarantee the availability of books. Always budget as if you will have to buy your
books.
 Access codes for additional material are not provided. You are responsible for purchasing the
code on your own.
 Promptly return your books as soon as your class is over, and no later than Friday of finals week.
If you change your schedule tell us immediately. If you drop your class, return your book
immediately. Return books to TPH 408 or a regional campus POC.
 Failure to return the books can result in your account being placed on HOLD and you will no
longer be eligible for the Textbooks for Troops program.
 You are responsible for any damage to these books. If books are lost, stolen or damaged in any
way, you are responsible for replacing the books with books in comparable or better condition. (If
you are borrowing a workbook, please do not write in it; make copies of pages to write on).
 Book forms can be faxed to 270-745-4351, emailed to military@wku.edu or dropped off at Tate
Page Hall 408 or the following locations:
WKU-Etown/Ft. Knox—Melissa Ballinger, Briscoe Hall
WKU-Glasgow—Sandi Rice, Glasgow front desk
WKU-Owensboro—Susan Free, Student Services
