living to which they are accustomed and maintain the exclusivity that so many other
timeshare cannot offer.
Management and Ownership
Everything is managed by a world-class managing agent, but is owned by club and in turn
the members of Golf Resorts Club. You don't have to worry as to whether or not the golf
cart has been put on charge or whether or not the television or Satellite television works, its
all taken care of.
Booking
There are no booking fees and you can book 52 weeks in advance, meaning that there are
no tedious "opening days" or waiting hours on the phone to make a booking, you can book
now already for next year's vacation. The club works on an inflation free "units" system that
allows you to book any home for any period of time that the number of units you own
allows for, for example if you own 150 units and it requires 50 units to book a week at
Fancourt, you can book 3 weeks at Fancourt. If it requires 25 units for a week at Wild Coast
Sun, then you can effectively book a week at Fancourt and 4 weeks at Wild Coast Sun, if you
so wish. Where, when and for how you utilise the units you own is entirely up to you.
Levies
Are what cover the running costs of the club (according to South African timeshare law, no
profit is allowed to be made on levies) and maintain the units in peak occupational
brilliance. The club requires an annual provisional levy (APL) at the beginning of each year
and is based on the number of "units" that you own, click here for the breakdown. Each
home carries its own resort levy (based on the actual costs at that specific resort), when you
book the resort levy then gets deducted from your APL until such time as the APL gets
exhausted, at which point you can pay in resort levies SHOULD you make further bookings.
Click here for the breakdown of resort levies, how many people the homes accommodate,
how many units are required to book them and what the unit allocations are.
