Vertical Integration Creates Synergies Between Lowe Destination Development and

Destination Hotels & Resorts

Denver, Colo. – Vertical integration distinguishes hotel and resort community projects developed by Lowe Destination Development (LDD) and managed by Destination Hotels

& Resorts (DH&R). By integrating an in-house hospitality management team into the development process, LDD and DH&R are able to take projects from pre-development through opening in a successful, highly efficient process, keeping the best interests of owners, development partners and customers in mind.

The two companies are subsidiaries of Lowe Hospitality Group (LHG), which is owned by Lowe Enterprises, Inc., a privately held national real estate investment, management and development firm headquartered in Los Angeles, Calif. Through Lowe, the companies are able to identify prime markets for hotels and resort communities as well as the capital needed to see projects through fruition. LDD is responsible for the development of LHG hospitality projects including both hotels and resort residential communities. LDD hotel and resort projects are managed by DH&R upon completion.

Currently, LDD and DH&R have more than $2 billion of development projects underway including four key hospitality projects – The Village at Wild Dunes in South Carolina,

Suncadia in Roslyn, Wash., Stowe Mountain Lodge in Vermont and the Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes, Calif.

The Village at Wild Dunes

The Village at Wild Dunes will become the heart of Wild Dunes Resort located near

Charleston, S.C. To create this new focal point of the resort, LDD worked with the

DH&R management team at Wild Dunes to gather the first-hand knowledge and history of the region to design an area that meets the needs of real estate owners and guests. The

Village has been designed as a graceful atmosphere filled with eclectic shops, unique boutiques and casual dining. With 256 new condominiums guests will choose from studio, one-, two, and three-bedroom condominiums or penthouses. All condominiums have their own private balcony or terrace, offer sweeping ocean, marsh and resort views and are fully furnished. Village amenities include a bistro and bar with live entertainment, an outdoor swimming pool and snack bar, as well as a 7,000-square-foot spa and fitness center. The first phase of the Village at Wild Dunes is expected to open in

June 2007. The synergy between the existing resort team and the development team has resulted in a project which is highly appealing to prospective buyers and extremely efficient for resort operations. For information, please visit www.wilddunesvillage.com

Suncadia

Suncadia is a 6,400-acre Certified Built Green resort destination near Roslyn, Wash. The

LDD and DH&R teams were able to utilize their past successes at Sunriver in Oregon to model this new year-round resort. Sunriver essentially served as an incubator for ideas, successes and talent with a number of experienced hospitality executives transferred to

Suncadia to support the day-to-day development and operation of the resort community.

Just 80 miles east of Seattle on the sunny side of the Cascade mountains, Suncadia currently offers two active championship courses - Prospector Golf Course for public and

Tumble Creek Golf Course for members, with a third course called Rope Rider opening in 2008. The 18-room Inn at Suncadia opened in 2005 and is the only hotel in

Washington situated directly on a golf course. Ultimately, Suncadia Village will include the 254-room Lodge at Suncadia overlooking the Cle Elum River, scheduled to open in

2008; a spa, sports complex and boutique shopping; and 40 miles of groomed multiuse trails. Suncadia features such seasonal activities such as golfing, hiking, biking, fishing and horseback riding in warmer months, and cross-country and snowshoeing in winter.

Nearby recreation includes downhill skiing, snowmobiling and intimate Washington wineries for tours and tastings. For information, please visit www.suncadia.com

Stowe Mountain Lodge

LDD and DH&R trace their experience with mountain resorts back to the firm’s first project, The Gant, one of the original condominium resort developments, in Aspen which

Lowe completed in 1973. LDD and DH&R will add another prestigious mountain resort to their portfolio when Stowe Mountain Lodge opens in fall 2007. For this project, LDD is able to rely on key DH&R personnel from the award-winning NINE ZERO Hotel in

Boston, which was managed by DH&R until mid-2006. The executives involved in this development understand the Northeast market and the nuances of attracting both real estate and individual travel customers.

The 132-room luxury lodge at the base of Stowe Mountain Resort will be part of an alpine village offering a four season experience. The ski-in/ski-out property is wellsituated in the heart of the new Spruce Peak at Stowe alpine village, offering guests convenient access to a world-class spa featuring distinctive services, natural Vermont products and unique discoveries from around the world, as well as a renowned wellness center. Truly a four season resort, for those who enjoy golf the Lodge will feature an 18hole mountain course designed by acclaimed golf architect Bob Cupp who has worked with Lowe on several previous courses including Crosswater in Sunriver and Grizzly

Ranch near Lake Tahoe. The resort also will include approximately 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art function space, an upscale retail plaza, an outdoor ice skating rink and signature restaurants. For information, please visit www.stowemountainlodge.com

Terranea Resort

Terranea Resort is the culmination of the seven year vision of Bob Lowe, president and chief executive officer of Lowe Enterprises. The 102-acre resort on the California coastline in Palos Verdes, Calif. is located just 15 miles south of Los Angeles

International Airport. To date, this project is the most intricate the two companies have undertaken with complex coastal regulations which must be satisfied, strategically developed habitat plans, a project design that maximizes use of the natural landscape and an all-inclusive, full-service resort.

Scheduled to open in early 2009, the 582-room Terranea is inspired by the rich history of

Spanish explorers who first discovered the Southern California coastline in the 1700s.

Property features include a 25,000-square-foot destination spa, three pools, a nine-hole

golf academy, private cove and more than 63,000 square feet of indoor and 90,000 square feet of outdoor function space with expansive ocean views. For information, please visit www.terranea.com
