Lacombe Minor Hockey Association Raffle Rules for 2015/16 RV Raffle
1) The raffle tickets shall not be sold to a person under the age of 18 years of age.
2) Tickets will be through direct person to person sales by members of the Lacombe
Minor Hockey Association. Tickets will be sold on a voluntary basis by members
and there is no requirements of members to sell tickets.
3) All raffle tickets must be sold in the province of Alberta.
4) All raffle ticket sellers must advise adult ticket buyers not to write the name of a
person under the age of 18 years of age on the ticket.
5) The Raffle Ticket Manager, their employees and members of their immediate family
(a spouse, parent, son, daughter, brother, sister, or the spouse of any of these
individuals) are not eligible to receive raffle tickets.
6) A total of 5,000 tickets are available. Tickets are to be sold for $20 each.
7) The draw will be held on April 11, 2016. The draw will be held at approximately
7:00pm at the Lacombe Minor Hockey Awards Night located at the Lacombe
Memorial Centre in Lacombe, Alberta.
8) The draw will be witnessed by all in attendance at the awards night
as each ticket is drawn from a draw box. The winning ticket will be drawn
manually by an individual who does not have a ticket in the draw, in a
random manner. Only the person making the draw will put their arm into the
draw barrel, and will have no clothing on their arm below their elbow.
9) If the representatives making the draw cannot read a ticket, it will be declared
invalid.
10) In the event the winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the Lacombe
Minor Hockey Association shall award the prize to only one of the individuals
identified on the ticket, and Lacombe Minor Hockey Association and the Alberta
Gaming and Liquor Corporation are not responsible for any disputes which may
arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub.
11) The winner does not have to be present to win the prize. The winner has up to one
year to claim their prize.
12) If the winner cannot be located after one full year from the draw date, the raffle
chairperson will donate the prize to a charitable association, based on the approval
of the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.
13) No refunds will be offered once a ticket has been purchased.
14) The official prizes are as follows:
First Prize: 2016 Coachman Ultralite Apex 23 BHS valued at $34,480 not
including GST. Prize is given as stated and there is no option for cash in lieu.
Second Prize: 2016 Polaris 900 RZR Trail Edition valued at $16,257 not
including GST. Prize is given as stated and there is no option for cash in lieu.
Third Prize: $1000 cash
13) Prizes will be drawn starting with the Third Prize, followed by the Second Prize and
lastly the First Prize. The winning ticket of each prize will be returned to the draw
box after each prize is drawn.
General: By accepting prize, winners agree to hold sponsors, its agencies, affiliates,
subsidiaries, agents, advertising and promotion agencies, and anyone else involved in
the development, production or handling of the raffle and their respective
Directors, officers, employees, volunteers and assigns, harmless against any and all
claims and liability arising out of use of prize. Decisions are final on all matters relating
to this raffle. By participating in the raffle, entrants agree to be bound by the Official
Raffle Rules and the decisions of the Lacombe Minor Hockey Association.
Winners: The name of the winner will be announced at the Awards Night and
available after draw date by emailing the Lacombe Minor Hockey Association. The
winner will be notified by phone if not present at the drawing in Lacombe.
