School Psychologist II Spartanburg School District 4 is currently seeking a full time School Psychologist II. The position starts in August of the 2016-17 school year. We are interested in interviewing qualified candidates as soon as possible. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must: -Possess or be eligible for minimum standards of certification as a School Psychologist II. -Be able to successfully relate to school personnel, as well as families and students, from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and skill levels. -Be able to select, administer and interpret specialized psychological Instruments. Professional Responsibilities -Conduct psychological evaluations of identified and referred students, with possible intellectual, learning and/or social-emotional difficulties. -Use appropriate observation techniques and diagnostic instruments to write psychological reports related to students in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. -Analyze psychological assessment results and write appropriate reports, and share this information with personnel and parents/guardians. -Participate in the development and implementation of a relevant individualized educational program (IEP) for each individual student recommended for psychological services, based on his/her educational/social-emotional needs. -Consult regularly with parents and classroom teachers regarding the student's progress on the individualized educational program (IEP). -Utilize a variety of service delivery models which may include: consultation, assessment, behavior management programs, etc. Applicants should contact: Mary Johnson, Director of Special Services, at 864-476-3186 for additional information.
