 Induction/New Educator Orientation

 Induction/New Educator School Orientation

 Orientation (Induction, Annual, Continuing, New to the District and all other Speech-Language
Therapists)
 Educators hired on or after October 6, 2015 will be placed on Letters of Agreement and will not be
formally evaluated during the 2015 – 2016 school term.
Initial/Preliminary Notifications
September 8, 2015
 Teacher will be informed of his/her assistance team members.
Initial/Preliminary Formative Evaluation Cycle
(September 23, 2015 – December 9, 2015)

Walk-Through Observations
 Mentor and Assistance Team Chair will complete walk through observations
 Induction Library Media Specialists will submit PD 3 ADEPT Reflection to Mentor/Observer/
Assistance Team Chair within seven (7) days of each observation
 Mentor and Assistance team Chair will conduct feedback conference on observation and reflection
within five (5) days of receiving reflection

 Speech-Language Therapist submits Long-Range Plan to the team chair

 School leader and/or other designee submits Professional Performance Description to the assistance

PD 10 Professional Self-Report
 Speech-Language Therapist submits Professional Self-Report to the assistance team administrator only
for initial conference discussion
December 8, 2015
Documentation Verification Meeting
 Assistance team administrator must hold a meeting with the school leader to discuss
recommendations/improvements on or before deadline

Initial/Preliminary Conference
 School leader and/or assistance team members must hold initial/preliminary evaluation conference on
or before deadline
All preliminary information (Evidence Documentation pp 1-7, Evaluation Summary Sheet) (improvement plan

Integral Observation
 Mentor will complete integral observation using ADEPT Speech-Language Observation Record.
 Induction Contract Educator will submit PDs 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 Reflection on Instruction & Student
Learning to mentor within seven (7) days of each observation
 Mentor will conduct feedback conference on observation and reflection within five (5) days of
receiving reflection
Integral Observations
 Assistance Team Chair will complete a minimum of one (1) integral observations using ADEPT
Speech-Language Observation Record.
 Induction Contract Educator will submit PDs 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 Reflection on Instruction & Student
Learning to Assistance Team Chair within seven (7) days of each observation
Assistance Team Chair does not hold feedback conference for this integral observation.
PD1 Long-Range Plan (Speech-Language Therapist)
